Human beings develop, adapt, and evolve through the senses. The somatic canvas is an emergent confluence of corporeality and extended reality that incites the transmission of sensate digital codes to the somatic nervous system, inviting exploratory expansion of embodied neurosensory experience. The somatic canvas is an organic corporeal evolution and a distinctly 21st century articulation of the body in reflective resonance with the dematerialized layers of fluid, networked intelligence that pervade and increasingly define our cultural interface.

Neurosensory Choreography

Neurosensory choreography is the integral expression of the somatic canvas. It is the orchestrated flow of sensate digital codes through the somatic nervous system. Traditional choreography is composed for the musculoskeletal system. Neurosensory choreography is emergent kinetic design composed for the expanded somatic nervous system. It is a choreographic evolution that opens all bodies as equable conduits for experiential kinetic composition. Neurosensory choreography is the inside of a dance. Gestures, patterns, rhythms, and codes shift, align, calibrate,and transform the neurosensory system.

The Rheomode

Rheomode is a term coined by quantum physicist David Bohm, who posited that our minds are essentially wired by the language of the particle, and that new language is required to impart the quantum wave. Rheo-mode is “flowing language,” evoking the transmission of motion, interconnection, flux, synthesis – and inviting perceptual transformation. The somatic canvas expresses the rheomode as experiential poetry.
