I am creating Neopoetics® — an embodied, experiential poetics emerging at the confluence of corporeality and technocultural transformation. My canvas is the somatic nervous system. My gesture is neurosensory choreography. My palette is digital, kinetic, immersive. The experience of my work is the inside of a multidimensional dance. Kinetic forms, patterns, rhythms, and codes shift, align, calibrate, and transform the neurosensory system. My futurist somatic compositions open the body as a dynamic field for experiential poetry, catalyzing transformation in our understanding of human embodiment and human being.
For three decades, my work has poetically explored the outer edges of sensate human embodiment as it is transformed by technocultural forces of acceleration and expansion, and organic forces of entelechy and evolution. My work is driven by systems of creative research that enable sustained exploration of uncharted territory. This portfolio illuminates the trajectory of the work — from pioneering early digital performance and videodance, through motion capture animation, projection-based installation, and an original mixed reality performance framework that immersed the live body within stereoscopic space, to virtual reality, somatic artwork, and the unfolding Neopoetics corpus.
